Textures - are these usable?

Hi,

Could someone tell me if these textures are usable?

Do you see how the photos are of the corner of a brick wall.

I want to be able to use them on the walls of the house that I have created in Max. I paid good money for them and now I don't know

how to use them. The other thing is that the images are 400x400px

which is not very big is it????

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unless they are clips of a procedural material, then the answer is no, they are not usable. Search the forums or Google for free brick texture generators, and then use Photoshop to build quality textures.

 

As for the corner... It is going to be a matter of attention to detail. Placing any texture be it procedural or bitmap will rely on the user aligning the material the way it needs to be.

Thanks for this information. So, through UVW Mapping are you suggesting that it is possible to get a good result? If this is the case, can you give any tips on using the mapping coordinates to get the result.
