archicad 12 - creating stairs

Hi,

I'm a fairly new user of archicad 12 and am having multiple issues with creating stairs. 1. after creating a stairway on the home floor I am unable to get the 2d 'down' version of the stairs to show in the floor plan of the floor above. 2. I am unable to raise the 'cut' line in order to properly show an 'L' shaped stairway in the home floor plan - the default location of the cut line occurs at the landing and leaves the design of the stairs very unclear.
