Asset Management Solutions - 3D, textures, etc.

The asset mgmt threads all seem to be aging, so I wanted to see if any new solutions came to the industry recently. It's my understanding that Alienbrain is the best of the bunch for 3D viz, since it's able to handle 3D files directly. Some firms I know of are using Extensis Portfolio or Adobe Bridge, but they can't get previews of the 3D models - so it often involves an extra rendered file to be paired with each.

 

What other server-based solutions are your firms using to handle these large 3D libraries?
