Maxnmayageoff
Hello folks I have been out of the loop for a while on V-Ray and just getting back in the groove. All is good but for one issue. I have not seen it on any of the threads so here goes. Just done a walkthrough. Saved IR an LC to file and popped on the server for all nodes to see. All nodes react the same, that is that they all render each bucket fine until the last bucket and that can hold for ten minutes or more before going to the next frame. I thought it was a network issue so put all maps and IR and LC on to a local machine to get a single system rendering but I have the same issue. I am rendering on a dueal quadcore and do not have issues with mental Ray or Renderman. I am rendering the walkthrough at 1280 x 720 and put the buckets to 32 x 32. At the moment each frame is about 3 minutes on all the buckets until the last and it hangs there in the last bucket for maybe 10 minutes. All thoughts are very gratefully recieved. Many thanks
Devin Johnston
When this happens usually it's getting stuck on an object that is very difficult to render, when the bucket gets stuck is it always in the same place on the same object?
Maxnmayageoff
Yes I have had that before when the bucket sticks on the same object, normally something quite refractive or reflective but as the frames are rendered that object moves and the reflection or refraction is slightly shifted and all is good. However this time it might be a bucket that is in the middle of a plain wall, Nothing that is putting undue work on the processor. Many thanks for your toughts I will see what else I can do
