Ausmax
Hi everyone, Can any one tell me why my mental Ray render is washing out? Exposure control is great for making the image darker or lighter but why are my colors washed out? This is my first Mental Ray Render for a client, so I would really appreciate some quick help. Cheers
jinsley
an image post and the settings you are using would be a great way to start... might be something to do with your gamma???
Ausmax
Thanks James for the quick response - my gamma settings were turned off. This must of been a default setting (maybe) because I haven't come across these settings before - don't know why they would be turned off?? This helps me greatly! Kind Regards
jinsley
must have been really off... I can't see the default values for gamma input and output in max having such an extreme effect as to wash out an image completely... I'm glad its figured out.
