Ky Lane
Hi guys, Threw a quick render together last night and rendered 100 frames off to peice together for a flash animation today.. In Max, the render looks like this.. Now, when I open the PNG (24bit + alpha) in Photoshop, it looks similar, but darker.... But, if I open it in "picture viewer" or import it into flash, it looks like this... Im confuzzled... any hints?
Peter M. Gruhn
I notice it's a png. So it could be a gamma issue. Gamma with png has been an issue over the years. Alpha too. It looks like maybe it's something transparent and cloudy diaphonous [sp?] and the alpha is getting clipped to "1" and "not 1". Try a different format. Try gamma of 1. Is there a pre-multiply button on png save that can be turned on or off? Save w/o alpha and render the alpha as a separate element to combine as a transparency mask in destination software? Just guessing.
