konsepto
Hi Guys, I am abit puzzled if it would be possile to run 32-bit 3dsmax files on a 64-bit 3dsmax platform? Basically, my office computer is running 32 bit 3dsMax 9. i am planning to upgrade my home pc to 64 bit and wondering if my 32 bit files can run on the 64 bit platform. Please advise. thanks
BrianKitts
yes, there's no difference between the files, the difference is in how the software uses the data within the file. So the same file can be used with either version of max. Only thing you have to be cautious of is that a scene that is highly intensive on the memory load could render on 64bit and cause a crash if you run out of ram on a 32 bit machine.
