braddewald
Does anybody have a good source for background textures for interior 3d scenes? Google searching doesn't ever work very well because desktop wallpapers always dominate the google results. I have particular trouble finding a background texture for my interiors that gives the impression that there is a bunch of vegetation just on the other side of the window. Thanks! Dave Buckley
what you gotta ask yourself is, could you have modeled it in the time you've spent looking for the image? i'm sure you said in a previous post that you own the evermotion scenes, surely they will contain background images? or plant/vegetation models that you can put outside the window? this will look better as it won't look like a flat image out of the window but will add to render time. better still go and take your own image i've wasted way too much time in the past trawling through google image searches only to decide that on page 76 of 1,504,203 returned pages that i can't be bothered anymore
Crazy Homeless Guy
I typically search Compfight for high res creative common images. I then collect about 10 or so images that have the aspects of what I am going to need. Then break out the Wacom and create a matte painting compositing the images together, and forming a backdrop that fits your scene.
rad_thundercat
Flickr & Google can make a powerful combination: "site:flickr[dotcom] textured door" (type into google) Of course be sure to ask for permission if you're doing this for work EDIT: replace [dotcom] for .com. Apparently I don't have 10 posts so it wouldn't let me post the url. Edited April 13, 2010 by rad_thundercat clarification
