saciya
Hello to everyone, this is my first post here. I'm a design student and I'm trying to learn Modo by myself. I had this problem today and I couldnt find a way to do it in the tutorials. I hope you can help me. Here is the problem, I dont know how to project a curve that I already draw, on a surface. Thank you for your help..
CHE
Make sure that the surface that you want to cut is on its own mesh as well as the curve in the item list (you should have 2 meshes in the item list). Select the mesh for the curve. Change your selection mode to Edges, then double click an edge of your curve. Hit P on the keyboard; this will create a polygon out of your curve. Select the surface mesh in the item list. Then, go to Mesh Edit tab in the tool bars and use the Drill tool. It should be set to Stencil and make sure that you are using the correct axis for the projection. Click Ok and that's it (see attached). I hope it helps.
