wannabeartist
Hi, Has anyone tried using the pressure option with Garment Maker -made cloth? I'm working on sofa cushions (again) and I got some promising results with using pressure option, but only with regular objects. If I try the same with Garment Maker -made cloth, the object deflates - even if I use the cap holes option.
proces2
i did use it once, very briefly though. i think the only way i found it would work was if i started with a primitive object - usually just a simple box. if i worked with any mesh where i had to weld it to "seal" it - then it would fail in the same way it is happening for you. wannabeartist
Hi, I got tired of playing with that for now - apparently it really doesn't work with Garment Maker and at least for this project, Garment Maker wasn't really needed. I was having issued with "pointyness" in the corners of my cushions, but tweaking the initial shape seemed to suffice to fix that. I was also planning to have the entire sofa to be one big simulation, in order to get nice variation with the cushions pressing against each other and the frame, but I couldn't figure out how to instance the cushions with the cloth group definitions, so I just made a simulation of one backrest-seat-pair and copied the resulting mesh. It turned out sufficient for now, but I do want to solve that mystery of the groups in the future!
