Stan Zaslavsky
Hi all, here is the result of the parquetry flooring with material by element. rendered in mental ray look forward to your feedback - the intention is to illustrate a large/light & bright space for a very expensive property
nick2730
seems overly bright to me, no real shadows either? you using vray? Otherwise the layout modeling and textures are good. Just the birghtness is throwing me off, what exposure you using?
Stan Zaslavsky
Hi Nick, I'm using mental ray - the exposure is in photoshop and i've overcompensated on brightness to accomodate for the client's dark screens (i find that comment quite often that my images are too dark). here is another version with some more furniture
karuna.a
hi.. it is look plain because of the same color. You can play with 2 or 3 colors.I am sure it will really make a sense... make sure your flooring uvw mapping is it in proportion. looks bit bigger pattern.. also too much brighten in window side... over all design is good keep up good work... cheers, karuna:)
carlotristan3d
the spotlight effect looks unreal, you might want to consider using ies lights.
Stan Zaslavsky
hi guys, thanks for your feedback. the lights are ies - i might want to tone them down a bit perhaps. the client is choosing the colours so there isnt much flexibility there - but a good suggestion karuna - maybe i'll put a red pillow somewhere cheers,

DelfoZ
You are losing a lot of data in the white spots, You really need Mr Photographic exposure control for what i see ( if you are using MrSun/MrSky and IES files) Check the Arch. int daylight Video Tutorial with jeff Patton , Worth it.
