bleeding_me
Hello guys. I hope you can help me with this problem of mine. I have an attick here at home that i want to put some shelves on, so i decided to take the measurements and do it in 3D to figure out the best configuration of shelves to the place. The attick has no windows or natural light on it. The only light it gets is a light bulb on the wall just on top of the door. I already have done a few interiors, but all have windows on them, never did one with no natural light coming from windows. I haven't started on applying materials, i only created the basic geometry of the room. I want to first create the lighting so that i can carry on with the material placing. Can you guys help me here how to achieve the best realistic scene ? Here is a printscreen (Top viewport) of what i have at the moment. I included the measures of the room and where the only light is supposed to be. thanx people and hope you can help me.

If you want it to be realistic realistic (that is, how it'll actually look, as opposed to photo-realistically beautified) then it should literally be a case of just popping a photometric omni light where your bulb is and cranking up the GI settings! Exactly, except you wont need to crank the GI...... Make sure you are using a Vray physical cam and correct gamma settings. The lighting will take care of itself. This is actually an incredibly easy scene to light. 1 point light and you are done. Then you can just get down to making sure you have correct exposure.
