braddewald
I need to recreate this antique mirror material for a big job that just came in. This is an image of the reflection of objects in the antique mirror. Any suggestions on how to recreate this effect?
ruskie77
The only way i got anything close was to do a bump map with a "cellular map" set to "chips" hope this quick and dirty way helps a bit.
braddewald
So it turns out I need to do a close-up of the mirror and while using chips in the bump slot worked for a far-off shot (thanks by the way), I need something a little more detailed. I've had a week to think it over and got nothing... suggestions anyone? Edited May 3, 2010 by braddewald
braddewald
I've tried using a wrinkled paper texture in the bump slot, but it doesn't turn out very well. Any suggestions yet?
Crazy Homeless Guy
Maybe try a Shellac material. The base material could be the wrinkled paper, and the shellac material could be a clean reflection that would simulate the front of the glass onthe mirror.
