tcupp
My first crack at a Revit to Max VRAY Render. C&C on materials, lighting, and design are appreciated.
DelfoZ
i think the Vignetting is way too big and the shadows are very dark,
anejo
I would consider another camera angle. Just out of curiosity, is this a office building, hospital, condo...?
rherman
I've tried to find a practical way to import Revit to VRAY + 3DS and find everything so boxy and more time consuming when having to change all the materials. Your maps need a bit of work as well. It actually does a nice job of importing with Mental Ray as long as you change the exposure setting. You need to adjust your shutter speed, drop it to like 100. I'm playing with Arion right now and it seems to be doing a quicker job of pumping out product.
tcupp
The building has no function. Just a quick test to see how/if it works. I actually thought the wokflow was fairly easy. I have no vray experince though...will try adjusting the maps, shutter speed, and shadows and see what I cac get.
cummings9306
I think that this is an outstanding rendering. I have not been as successful with the vray lighting after bringing the model from Revit into 3ds max 2011 w/ vray 1.5 sp5. Here is what I'm getting. If I use Mental Ray, it's pretty good, but with Vray, not good at all. Do you have any suggestions on the settings to change the outcome?
