Randy liddil
Does anyone know if there is a way to do this in 3ds max? To animate a spherical camera on a path while being able to pan around like in a still frame QTVR? This seems like it can be rendered in 3ds max but what about the software that would stitch it all together as well? I don't think VR WORX can do this. Here is an example with a Spherical "video camera" with h.264 compression. http://www.vrhotwires.com/rtwspheres/roma2/index.html
DelfoZ
Create a Free camera in your scene, Go to Utilities>more>Panorama exporter -> Render. Done. use the Viewert to view it If u want to put that in a web then u need... I don´t know what you need *edited NoteExporting to QTVR format requires that QuickTime® 5 or higher be installed on your system. You can download the latest version from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download. For QTVR export, you must choose the “Recommended Install” rather than a custom or minimal installation. In particular, your installation must include these components: QuickTime AuthoringQuickTime Internet ExtrasQuickTime Essentials Edited April 28, 2010 by DelfoZ
Chad Warner
What Randy's asking about is not just a simple panorama, its a 360 panorama that also travels along a path, with the panorama available at all points along the path.
thatch
You need to setup a camera rig in max similar to this http://www.immersivemedia.com/products/capture.html then use the authoring tools to add it all together.

So are you saying use immersivemedia's authoring tools, or qtvr authoring tools?

hockley91
Why not just export your scene as a .dwf with your camera views setup and then use Design Review to explore the scene in realtime with the navigation wheel? Design Review is free software and the client can download it and just explore the model in realtime and not mess with animations and stuff? Mainly because design review doesn't support vray materials and lights.
