set your ligth cache to a low figures, default is 1000, try with 500 or even less, or simply try lowering other figures in you ligth cache settings until you see a faster calculation....difficult to judge if there is no pic/s of you are doing.

Hi guy,

The same problem to me. I tried your solution but it didn't work. I post here some pics that I'm doing. In my scene, I used almost Vray proxies (from nearby house to every trees except the main building). The system I used for render is Xeon Quad 3210 2.13 Ghz, RAM 8 Gb DDR II Bus 800, Max 2009, Vray 1.5 sp 2. By the way, when I render my CPU just using just load 70% for rendering althought I checked (Multi-thread rendering in 3Ds Max). Can anyone help me with this, please?

Thanks in advance,

i fixed my problem then i'll tell you how to do that..

1)don t use evermotion series use onyx

2)turn off GI for trees and vray proxy

3)set your light cache 500-800 values

4)use instance mode for copy or duplicate..

Brian,

My suggestions for Light cache are:

Vray Settings:

Dynamic Memory Limit: 2000+ depending on how much ram you have, but higher numbers do make a big difference when using proxies

Default Geometry: Static. , proxies and displacement use dynamic but I have found that using static make a huge difference in speed.

If you have many lights reduce the Light Cache subdivisions under 500
