Dave Buckley
first chance i've had to look at the new revit, really nice new tool to create quick yet still relatively nice looking 3d floor plans if you switch to one of the new visual styles, i.e. realistic and then go to shadow settings, there is now a small checkbox to enable ambient occlusion, giving those all important contact shadows to a 3d floor plan. take a screenshot of the model as is, then take another screenshot of the model in hidden line mode, open both in PS as separate layers and set the hidden line layer to multiply. nice quick and easy 3d floor plans with semi-real materials and edged faces. nothing major i just liked it and thought i'd point it out for those who haven't seen it
hockley91
Revit's getting there, they just need to go ahead and combine the rendering capabilities of 3DS Max into it. I'm getting tired of transferring things back and forth....back and forth....
