YOHKOH
Hi I'm applying an extrude mod directly to a spline. Is there a way to control which direction the extrusion happens Ta
Dave Buchhofer
It will extrude in the Z axis of the grid that it was drawn in.. to "fix" the extrusion if it is going sideways for instance, an easy way is to draw a circle with auto-grid 'on' perpendicular to the direction you wish it would go, attach the problem spline, and delete the circle. otherwise theres something of a extrude along spline function built into edit poly somewhere that may help if that wasn't the problem. LKlemenc
You can also rotate or align spline to XY plane (if it was drawn on any other plane) and apply XForm modifier (you can also use ResetXform command from Utilities). Theb you can collapse stack and rotate/align spline to previouse location and extrude. Regards, Luka
