YOHKOH
Hi there Does anyone know how to add thickness to and opacity mapped surface. I'm making a perforated metal panel which needs to show a 5mm thickness It would be nice not to have to model this as I have a lot of theses panels on a facade and need to change the pattern quickly and easily in ps. abmitalia
Well , you don't have to model it out ... just use the same map as in opacity - put a slight blur on it and use it as bumb map (or displacement map - I don't remember ) . RK
Peter M. Gruhn
Bear in mind how close you are going to be to them and how much that 5mm will show. When you say "a facade" and "5mm" you are talking to different scales and for any given show you can expect to be looking at an either/or situation.
