Michael J. Brown
I've been using V-Ray for a little while now (2 1/2 years), but never really tried doing an animation of any decent quality. I've got my Irradiance mapping set up for Animation prepass, and Light Cache to Fly-through. (See settings .jpg) The first frame renders (prepass) at about 30sec. But by the 4th or 5th frame I'm staring at 7 1/2minute render times. My render times keep increasing almost exponentially with every frame. This cannot be normal. What gives? Obviously my animation settings are not optimal. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know that these frames are capable of running (prepass) at 30sec each, I just can't get them to do that successively. chadw
Hey Michael Saw that you are in my neck of the woods... so I have to help you if I can. We Michigan folk have to stick together. Let me see the rest of your settings (ie the other tabs) and I will see what I can do. If you already have it resolved cool. Are you freelance in the area or working for a firm. I am over at Speedshape in Birmingham. Chad
