Recommendations for grass and trees plug-ins or models?

Hi everyone,

 

I'm currently new to the world of 3dsmax. As difficult as it is, I can't stop learning it.

There are many plugins and models out there for creating realistic trees and grass. I'm on a bit of a budget. Before I start buying, can anybody recommend anything that isn't to expensive to get me started. I've heard of onyx but that's too much for me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on your budget and time constraints i would recommend autograss, very simple to use. However there are a lot of free tutorials out there for making grass.

A more affordable option that I am looking into is GrowFX by Exlevel. They have a free trial version you can check out. I'm just starting to play with it, but it looks promising so far.
