MegaPixel
Does anyone here have any experience with the .DWF toolkit? Do you pretty much have to be a programmer to be able to modify the interface to lock-out certain controls and toolbars? Is it also possible to create “Named Views” and “Scripted Events” within the toolkit? Currently, we are using the Acrobat 3D PDF Toolkit to create customized interfaces with configurable view states for our models. We’ve gone this direction because our clients, who don’t come from a technical background, have told us that the default interfaces for both the 3D PDF and .DWF are overwhelming to say the least plus the customization helps with the overall “presentational” quality of the file. For the record, I prefer the .DWF format over 3D PDF for the ease of creation with Autodesk products and the like, it’s visual quality and mesh fidelity.
