Backburner rendering troubles

I have installed autodesk backburner on my workstation and 1 node...started monitor/server/manager on ws and only server on node.

 

From backburner monitor i can see both workstation and render node, but when i click on plugins-3ds max design 2010 renderer plugin i see that only workstation appear. I have installed 3ds max only on workstation, but i have to install it also on node or what?

yes max needs installed on the node as well. you don't need to authenticate the license on the node, just install it so it has the software file to render with

thanks for reply brian. I tried to intall 3ds max on that node but the installation failed...i opened log file and i see that it's a visual c++ problem. I post the all error :

I tried to uninstall both visual c++ 2005 and 2008 installed and re-start setup, but it always end like that.

 

Some advices?
