ivanjay
I am trying to create a mosaic tile using Gradient Ramp. I have a gradient ramp with my (3) tile colors set. It is mapping to a tile map in which I am using color variance to generate the black/white colors I need for the gradient ramp. The randomness is great and it looks good.... Now, I am trying to get white grout so these actually look like tile.... My thought process was to set a flag at 99 (pure white) in the gradient ramp and set the grout in my tile map to white. All the grout is now white and looks good but I am getting white tiles randomly inserted into my mosiac. This makes sense but I need to eliminate this. How can I constrain the color variance to give me only values below pure white? Or.... Am I asking the impossible and need to go about this a different way? Peter M. Gruhn
"stack" 'em. Make this complete map the map in the tile slot of another tile map that just has white for grout. tiles - tiles setup - - texture - - - gradient - - - - mapped - - - - - tiles all noisy gray - grout setup - - texture - - - white
ivanjay
Thanks Peter. I actually figured it out not long after I submitted the thread. I made an error in the stacking which is why it wasn't working.
