LuckyST
when I right klik the "extrude" or "bevel" I'm used to a normal window appearing. now there is some Aero BS popup. It looks cool, but it's useless. I have to decipher the pictogram to conclude where the tasks are. it's damaging my workflow,... please, some help, and damn it, autodesk revert to the old look!! This is a business application,... not some secretary word processes that's ment to match her jacket! it would be cool if for edit poly, I could keep the extrude ,bevel, bridge, attach popups opened all the time... but I cant do that either. sorry, for my rant, but I hate it when they dont test their applications (like I just bought logitech performance.... and the middle button is held by a spring, that when ever you touch it starts this creepy vibration.... it's like the whole thing was produced on pc, and never took one good field test )
PiXeL_MoNKeY
It has nothing to do with Aero it is part of the UI portion of XBR. The floating dialogs have been replaced by the Caddies, and there is no way to revert back. The new method has a lot of advantages over the old such as having it always open in a specific location on screen in the active viewport, follow or not follow the selection, transparency control, etc. You will need to use maxscript to modify the options. -Eric
LuckyST
damn it. in the past extrude would only say "extrude"... now I have to hover over every pictogram to locate what I need. also, the "spinners" who's great idea was it to make them go left/right instead up and down... like all the normal people do. I hate designers
Ricardo Eloy
I guess it's just a matter of personal taste. I liked the new caddies quite a lot, and got used to them in just a couple minutes.
