dreamer86
Hi, i wanna show you last image i've rendered with 3dsmax 2010 and MR... I've used FG+GI with that settings : FG points density = 0.4 Rays = 250 Interp = 100 Trace depth = 6/6/6 Max num photon per sample = 20.000 Average GI photons per light = 150.000 I've rendered final images at 3500x2100 pixels and it tooks about 3h30min on a i7 950 render node. You can see that there are still some splotches on the ceiling and some white dots on the floor...do you have any issues to solve these problems? Thanks a lot. TomD_Arch
Have you tried to up the reflectivity and/or refraction glossy samples on the materials themselves? This is just a shot in the dark, but it is the first thing I would try.
Justin Hunt
usually increasing the fg interpolation would clean up the ceiling splotches, but seeing that it is already quite high maybe play with the Photon radius size. jhv
xenomyosin
If you go to the 'Advanced Rendering Options' section of your Arch & Design material, you can change the FG quality value for indirect illumination. Try increasing this to reduce the splotches. Hope this helps, Simon Blakeney
