Chad Warner
Looks like Lightwave 3D-- There is a link to the creator's website at the bottom of the page, http://www.maasdigital.com/, but the site doesn't seem to work correctly for me. -Chad
Ernest Burden III
On NASA's site there are images, raw pictures, (so far) one 3D red/blue stereo image (I've been groovin' on that one this evening) and a fantastic CG Mars rover mission animation This animation is FANTASTIC. The camera shots are extremely realistic, with shake, as you follow the probe into the Martian atmosphere. It looks like it was done by a skilled director, not some NASA sliderule jockey. My only complaint is that we were supposed to have learned from Stanley Kubrick that there is no SOUND in space. Oh, well, minor crit, that. This animation is great!
