Wolf
I use a few scripts together rather often, so i decided to put it all together into a new floater, with a few additional bits. I use this most often when i need to add trees or rocks or grass or anything that is too tedious to scatter by hand. it was based from the RPC Spray by archvision and i turned it into a floater, added random transform by blur (neil blevins) and added a few extra bits n pieces like a brush size, and a select painted geometry button. all in all it works well into my workflow. do what you like with it.....if u find bugs..dont come running to me if you can improve it...go for your life...add your credits... and send me a copy http://www.artistnation.com/members/paris/artizen/Geopaint.zip enjoy... quizzy
you'll find that script at scripspot.com, its in the zip-file from blu it has all the blur scripts in it, including your missing script...
Wolf
ohhh yeah...you might need the blur script ive added it to the zip. another thing ive just remembered that i changed... it now sprays instances instead of copies, makes it very memory friendly, ive had up to a billion polys of trees rendered this way, with renderers like vray in only 5 mins. Dave Buchhofer
Its actually pretty funny.. I have lots of problems with instanced RPC's turning into .. err.. Fountains here.. Heheh. Copy little johnny? Fountain! Copy/Instance little Susan and wendy.. Fountain! Quite a suprise the first time it popped up with fountains in a still of a stadium! Anyway, not script related.. haven't tried it yet, but it sounds very useful, thanks Wolf!
quizzy
dave, don't instance your RPC's, use the original rpc spray script or mine (check my website) wolf, its only RPC's that give the problem when instanced, you don't have to make a checkbox only for the RPC's, you can filter them out by using the " if classof = ...then " function... if you need help, its in one of my RPC scripts.... and both of you should check out this link http://www.cgarchitect.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=11;t=000013#000001 regards [ September 16, 2002, 03:14 PM: Message edited by: quizzy ]
