Chanele
Hi, I'm new to Archicad and I'm having a little trouble with the step by step tutorial. The first part of the tutorial is making a slab. It says select the 3d model layer combination that will turn on the building slab layer from the options/layers/layer settings menu. I dont seem to have that combination in my dialogue box. Then when drawing the slab it says I need to create 2 new points to make a curve in one of the edges, I am doing what it says but the new points aren't being created, is that because I'm not in 3d model model comination? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
Ace_Face
Hi Chanele, You don't have to be in the 3d window to create 3d objects. To create a curved segment in a slab you can do the following: 1.) Create a slab then make sure it is selected. With the slab and the slab tool (in the tool bar) selected click on an edge of the slab. A pet pallet will appear. Select the first icon to crate a point. This point can be along the same edge or pulling out the edge to create another corner. 2.) Now click on one of the edges you just created and select the second icon in the pet pallet. This will allow you to create a curved edge. Try each of the icons in the pet pallet to see what they can do. I hope this helps to answer your question.
