andymcnair Posted July 4, 2003 Share Posted July 4, 2003 ok, still a bit vague there, if you're meaning how to make a material reflect its environment then read up on raytracing, reflect/refract materials and flat mirror materials. If you want a material to look as if it is transmitting light then use self illuminate in the material editor. How about posting an image of what you're trying to achieve? Alex Ryan Rubio Posted July 6, 2003 Share Posted July 6, 2003 try using the advanced lighting override material (max 5) or radiosity override (viz 4). alternately, u cud also lower the values of the diffuse map either by lowering output or lowering color values. hope this helps.
