Jeff Mottle
hey STRAT, Are you talking about the main page? There already is a refresh tag. I have never had problems with this before. ??
STRAT
i'm talking about the forums page actually. specifically the active topics' page. is this a bigger problem than it sounds then?
Jeff Mottle
Hey STRAT, I'm not sure I follow the problem you are having. I do know that if a topic is deleted, and I think even moved, the topics page does not refresh itself until another post is made, or if the page cache is manually purged from the control panel. STRAT
that is right. the site/page will up-date every time a change is made, but will only be made apparent to us if we ourselves press re-fresh or f5 at our ends. if i stay logged in all day and press nothing all day i dont know what is happening until i press F5. Can you amend this so the site automatically re-freshes itself like every 10 mins or so without prompting from me?
Jeff Mottle
Hmmm, don't think so. I'd have to look, but the pages themselves are generated via Perl and my Perl knowlege is limited to bascially me knowin that that Perl is a programming language. Guest Gleggers
Jeff Could a 'refresh' META tag be applied to the cgarchitect.com CSS? Mark
Jeff Mottle
The forum itself has the style sheets and all the programming, features etc generated through Perl Script. I would have to try to track down where the page is gnerated and add the tag. I'm not sure it is even possible to do. I'll look into it.
