nisus
Hi all, What kind of dvd-authoring applications do you use/know? Which one do you suggest? and most importantly: WHY? rgds nisus
John Dollus
I like ReelDVD from Sonic. They have a trial version you can download. It supports animated menus and multiple audio tracks. It is about $750 standalone but I think it ships with a couple of the newer DVD +R/-R drives as well.
C.Vestal
We keep it simple here. We use Premiere 6.5 & Sonics DVD IT PE. Our clients do not require the animated menus so we can save a few hundred. I think it is about 300.
seismograph
we are using Cyberlink PowerDirector Pro. It's cheap and does what it should do: burning our movies and picture slideshows with an menu for presentations on DVD. Creation process is very easy and fast. don't waste your time on learning highend software if you only need a DVD which is playable on standalone dvd-players. Chad Warner
To go along with this question, what about setting up the animation and menus themselves? I've been using DVDit, but have not gotten the qaulity I would like. The quality of the animation is not as good as pure DV, and the still images for the menus always look horrible. Does anyone know how to correct this? -Chad
