putting VIZ & MAX together?

With the new max5 coming with identical features as VIZ4, isn't it time the VIZ/MAX forum-parts are put back together?

Maybe the future will tell, but I think they will merge again, where MAX is just VIZ + more.

but then Viz is also Max + more! they are different and they render and operate different too. each also has extra different functions than the next.

I don't think they are that different anymore.

And with the new subscription extensions, Max users have everything from VIZ + the MAX tools.

Most technical questions are applicable to the two applications.

But it was just a thought.

Hi stefkeB,

I agree with START: MAX and ViZ are different. When Autodesk put Viz into MAX then it will be a good reason to join both forums.

Hi all,

Max and Viz are not to same. Even if both directions head into the same direction, I don't think older versions won't be used anymore.

Some people still use max3.1 or 4 and these are not like max5, getting closer to viz4. The same goes for viz users... So keep it like it is (imho)
