Vray interior presets

I was wondering if anyone could help me out... I just downloaded VRay demo, and I want to see if I can learn how to get good results for an interior of a fast food restaurant.

Is it possible for anyone to email me a viz file that they use for standard interior settings with daylight openings? Or if that is not possible, direct me to a good interior daylight turorial?

My main thing is I need to know how to set up the sunlight system and also how to make it go FAST, as vray is notorious for being.

So please, help a brother out all you vray users!

Just one thing to keep in mind about the presets, which are very well set, are best for video resolution (720x540)... so if you render for large stills... 2k, 3k, 4k+... the GI settings can be turned way down since you will not need all those extra samples... on the order of (-2,-3) or even (-5,-6)... This is especially true for interiors, where you are more interested in light bouncing around then you are in the ambient occlusion look that people look for in exteriors.

If you really want to get into good interior lighting in Vray... try to master photon mapping. It was developed for good (and, if used correctly, fast) interior lighting.

Yea, photon mapping sounds cool. If I buy Vray advanced, do they give you some good tutorials or is it pretty much whats offered at vray.info?

Just to clarify a common misconception:

VRay.info isn't an official Chaos Group site. It's an unofficial community driven site. The content mainly comes from forum postings and IRC discussion.

Oh, and I have to plug my new RSS feed feature on the site that lets you get VRay.info news almost as they are published in Trillian Pro, or any other RSS client you might like.
