Ernest Burden III
So the prints were all made, packed up, sent off to my client for this morning. Her client flying in to see the renderings early afternoon. Its great when things run like a well-oiled machine, isn't it? still no FedEx, and I am panicking please let me know what's going onthat would be my client. And I'm supposed to be writing a proposal for the next big project for them. The FedEx guy has disappeared--the dispatcher cannot find him, and the packages have been on the truck since 8 this morning. FedEx almost NEVER screws up, but when they do, it tends to get ugly. Ernest Burden III
still no FedEx, and I am panicking please let me know what's going onMy client is now getting so pannicy she has become irrational and sounds on the verge of a tearful emotional breakdown. And FedEx still cannot find their driver, it's been three hours and he is in the middle of New York City, not lost on a country path. This is fun... Chris_A
Can't find him?? Hey, how many FedEx drivers can there be in NYC?!? Maybe they should let *you* find him, and well... nevermind.
Ernest Burden III
Can't find him?? Hey, how many FedEx drivers can there be in NYC?!?A lot. I actually tried to talk the dispatcher into sending out someone else to find the guy. He ignored three hours of pages (they could get 'telemetry' from his scanner). He finally showed up at my client's at a few minutes before 3 PM. I can only imaging what state she must have been in by then, she was pretty far gone at 2 PM. Now I am going to have to drop a pile of cash on an armfull of roses for putting her through all that. So that took up most of my day--being on hold with FedEx and listening to this client slowly go bonkers. And the worst part is that the stress of all that was actually the HIGH PART of the day. Once that was over my father called me to say my grandfather had died. Well, I hope tomorrow will be a better day, 'cause this one sucked.

Ernest Burden III
My heartfelt apologies about your grandfather. Are you doing alright? Yes, and thank you. These things happen to all of us, so I wasn't trying to corner the market on sympathy, it just fit my topic of a rough Monday. Anyway, I guess I will be back in my beloved Bay Area soon to remember Ernest Burden Sr. Thank you, again
