Chad Warner
Hi all, I have some AEC Windows that I have added muntins to, but the problem is the muntins are on both sides of the glass, and I only want them on the outside face. (for polygon count) Is there any way to do this? Thanks, Chad

Chad Warner
I don't remember the technical difference, but a muntin in ADT is the same thing as mullion. (for dividing panes of glass) -Chad

Jeff Mottle
Mullion: A major structural vertical or horizontal member between window units or sliding glass doors. Muntin: A secondary framing member (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) to hold the window panes in the sash. This term is often confused with mullion. STRAT
in the UK a mullion is the verticle member and a transom is the horizontal member. as for muntins? nobody in my office heard of that word before.
Kerry Thompson
Hi Jeff is right - Window muntins are secondary framing members that hold multiple panes of glass in a window sash. These are not to be confused with mullions or transoms which relate to the primary window frame members. I suppose the lead in a lead light window could be referred to as a series of muntins. In New Zealand muntins can be referred to as a “glazing bars”. With ADT, muntins are able to be applied to the glass in a window by editing the Display Property of the window style and activating the setting. There is a range of elevation layouts available but no control for the profile or it's position in relation to the glass except centre. Better control of these aspects is achieved by adding a custom block instead. Custom blocks are able to be controlled to be inside, or outside on the glass surface and the profile of the bead can also be defined.
