snow effect

I would like to add in my scene some snow effect. The scene is a photomontage. Could someone tell me what is the best way to do this. eg: rendering snow straight in Viz or find an image of snow and apply it in photoshop?

thank you Srat. i have tried the script but its not really made for a large scene unfortunatly.This is the image i would like to snow out. I feel that the best way would be to do it in photoshop. what do you think?
