Giulio Castorina
Hi all, do you know if I create a 3d model with standard autocad tools or importing in adt2004 any 3dmodel from a dwg file, I will be able to convert the geometry in standard AEC elements, such as walls and slabs? How does it work? where Can I find more about this topic? Regards Giulio
Fernando Lino
I'd say it ....no buy you can convert 3dsolid in mass element...and convert mass elements in AEC objects. ((aecmasselement) option "Convert") it does mean that you need to brake your 3dsolid up in different pieces(walls, roof, slabs, etc) this is in ADT 3.3...I don't know in 2004
Giulio Castorina
Yes.. I was meaning to convert the solid first in mass element and then in aec elements! ADT2004 has this options....but do you know if it work fine? Is the origanry geometry respected during the conversion? Have you ever tried to do something? Fernando Lino
It works fine in the most part of the cases. This is the only option for me!! I don't remember which is the command for controlling the number of faces in mass element like facetres or isolines...for organic shapes is critical!!
