nisus
Congratulations Nr.2! ;-p still not anywhere near nisus, that guy just dont shut up! Hey! I've not been in here for 9days in a row, gave you plenty of time to catch up... Paul: about 45euro a month I'm not really much of a telephone-talker anymore, although my personal record is still 6hours 15minutes... Anyway... Why doesn't everyone posts more? Don't we have to keep the forum alive? rgds nisus

Gnarly Cranium
How many people are around this forum, anyway? It doesn't have nearly the same setup as CGtalk does, I can't seem to find the buttons to look at the lists... bah! And do many of you people go to CGtalk as well, I wonder? (I have about 760 posts on the flip side)
Jeff Mottle
Click on the directory button at the top. THis lists all that you are looing for. CGtalk is MUCH bigger and we obviously can't compete, but we are quite a bit more targetted than CGtalk as well... Originally posted by Gnarly Cranium: How many people are around this forum, anyway? STRAT
excuse the French, but i find CGTalk the biggest pile of potentious, up it's own backside, fan boy, full of crap forum on the internet! i mean, there are some quality artist that show their work off there, but hey, want a serious crit? dont bother. every body loves everybody elses work no matter how rubbish it may be. makes me laugh that forum does. there we go, rant over! You run a nice show Mr Mottle, glad to participate. Hmmm... maybe I'll make a post count chart like I did on CGtalk, that might be fun!

There IS a big problem with having to slog through some cheese to get to the good stuff-- but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I'm self taught in MAX, CGtalk is the only help I get-- and I'm thrilled with it. There are a lot of really great people who are more than willing to give out some great advice-- don't give up on em yet!

Paul Griger
Hi Gnarly! Welcome to the board I’ve personally found CG Talk very helpful. Everyone there is just as friendly and helpful as here. There are some heavies in the industry over there who actually work at places we all may have heard of. Oh I don’t know, places like Pixar, ILM, Blizzard, WETA Yes, there are some fanboy mentality over there once in a while, but man is there ever some crazy, mad talent over there also. So the majority of times the fan boy crits are garnered I have to say. And if you post something that needs improvement, you will get a crit if you can handle it and if your work shows some potential and catches someone’s eye. And it is moderated rather well also. Yes, we are a smaller group here than CG Talk, but we are a little more focused towards Architecture as was stated. Not to say that we don’t have our own fun either. We may not ponder the mysteries of xdugef here, but do we have our own inside jokes like mullets and Parallelax! Parallelax! Parallelax! BTW, you have seen me over at CG Talk Ganrly. I go under my alter ego FusionDG [not very adventurous I know] . ~ BTW way Strat, :ebigrazz: you may want to show some measure of chivalry to CG Architect’s only active girl here on the forum, otherwise you may scare Gnarly off! Gnarly Cranium
Great heavens, Xdugef has infiltrated EVERYTHING!! It's EVERYWHERE! GAH! Paul-- have you changed your avatar over there lately? I thought the cat looked familiar, but I see that on CGtalk you have this iddy biddy Calvin and Hobbes thing... Accck, not the '*shocked gasp* look everybody, it's a GIRL!!!' thing again... and what's with this whole chivalry business? Every single time anybody finds out I'm a girl I get swamped with apologies, it's bizarre! :???:

I couldn’t get it down to 10K though so I may change it back to my Gab cat. Accck, not the '*shocked gasp* look everybody, it's a GIRL!!!' thing again... and what's with this whole chivalry business? Every single time anybody finds out I'm a girl I get swamped with apologies, it's bizarre! :???: hey, don’t blame us, blame the overrun women’s lib movement and feminization of modern men If it’s all the same to you, we’ll keep on talking like we always have regardless of who’s here. And to be honest, we’re actually pretty tame here, so you won’t find us going goo-goo-ga over Poser chicks, anemic FF X-2 girls or wasting time talking about psuedo lesbian popstars best, paul

nisus
hi Gnarly, Welcome to this small community. Personally I like the size of cga (not too big), so we can keep focus on our thing (arch viz) at a professional level. And yeah we have our fun too... rgds nisus
