Blending material id's

I'm wondering if anyone knows a way of blending between material ids with something like a noise map. so that i can get rid of the sharpe edges between grass and footpaths etc...

 

I'm not interested in doing this manually with custom maps becouse i need it over a very large area and it would just take too long.

I think I've happened to use blend mateiral overide on a multisubobject material also but that was so long.

 

suggest that you merge your grass and stone to be 1 id material and use blend material with mask map instead. but You need to paint mask map by yourself or it can also be done with gradient map.

 

 

Another way is that you just use both noise map on edge ofyour footpath and grass...

 

If the answer is still incorrect, please show me the problem in image.
