Dire Wolf
Hi there I need to buy some dinnerware for my new house but have no idea what color to go with. I thought since you guys/gals are all design people maybe you can help. Since I know really nothing about dinnerware or design. I have attached a picture of the showroom to give you an idea on the color scheme. Currently we have a pine table that I am thinking of stripping and staining/painting a black color. Also we have white chairs that I might paint black or chocolate brown. The furniture in the living room (which connects to the dinning room) is mostly black. Anyone have any ideas for me? siliconbauhaus
hmmm this is a different thread. I'd personally opt for plain white ( matte or gloss ). It goes with anything and make the food stand out. Alternatively a matte black would be nice. Wal Mart has some nice cheap matte finish stuff in a rounded square shape. Have a look at westelm.com for some ideas.
Jeff Mottle
Wow, now if this is not a winner for the most off topic post, I don't know what will be. Anyway, my house is almost the exact same color scheme and we have a lightly off white plate with a textured beige 1" border that is similar to your wall color (and ours). Dire Wolf
Good thing I posted this in the Off-Topic Section. Thanks for the replies. I was thinking white or off white would look good, but was not sure about the whole black table/ white dinnerware thing.
