rgardner
Hi all, If I have an image file and it's associated alpha map file, how do I add this to a scene? Do I add the map as an alpha channel to my image before placing into Max, or place the alpha map straight ito Max? Basically how the hell do you do it? Looking at the home page and the got3d.com web site, looks quite interesting and the trees have an alpha map and just need advice as to how I use them. Or, if there is a tutorial anywhere? many thanks
STRAT
you put the alpha map in the opacity slot, and the colour map in the diffuse slot. or if the colour map has the alpha info within it, just use the derive alpha from image option the help files describe all this too.
