cullen
I'm in the process of trying to convince the company I work for to get a version of v-ray. I'm currently trying to use the free version until they will purchase the full version. I have finished modeling this but havn't started to fix textures or lighting. I did a check of my railing and this is what I got. I also noticed that there are several other edges that are pretty chagged like this. Does anyone have any ideas? sorry for the size of the pictures but I wanted you to see what the issue was. The first image is with area antialiasing and the second is with video. Though the second looks better, still not the quality I would expect. Thanks for your help.... image 1 image
jucaro
what are the values of your Vray Image sampler(antialiasing)? It looks lke a fixed sampling rate of 1. Enable adaptive subdivision and use a value of -4, 4 (min rate/ max rate respectively) to achieve best results are you just using the Vray Depth of field/anti-aliasing filter? muzzy
What is AA sampling rates ? Try Min 0 Max 2 under Image Sampling. This will add some time though. Try also -1,2 for faster
cullen
Thanks guys, that fixed the problem. I like the result witht he -4,4, but with the time crunch -1,2 is pretty good. Once again, Thanks!!! crw
