Jeff Mottle
Hi guys, Thought I'd mention this here before I make an official announcment. We have partnered with buycreative.com and now have an online marketplace for everyone to see their own digital assets. We are just starting up and are looking for more content, so if you have some textures, software, photographs that you would like to try to sell, please click on the "eStore" button in the top menu or go to http://shop.cgarchitect.com It is very much like turbo squid, except vendors get to keep 70% of the sale price and the content is always verified before it get's posted to ensure that only the very best quality of good are put up on the site. Check it out and give us your feedback.

nisus
Nice move Jeff! Is it only arch viz models? or anything like dragons/spaceships etc. ;-p rgds nisus
Jeff Mottle
Hey Nisus, It's open to anything as it's a shared database between buycreative.com and cgarchitect.com, but there is a filter to try to keep the content on our site as relevant as possible. (we're still working on getting that nailed down.) If you want to buy dragons then you can go to buy creative. CGarchitect makes a commission based upon all sales that come through our site. nisus
Simply Great imho! So basicly anyone can contribute to cga buy offering models for sale. I love this! I also like the idea of filters a lot as many of us don't need dragons. rgds nisus
Ernest Burden III
With Datacad there has been a similar system since the very early 90's (floppy disks sent my mail, originally) and I never have put anything into it. I always felt like the stuff I made was not 100% right--just good enough for my needs but always with a few flaws that I would want to fix if I had the time. So as I look at this new feature I am thinking the same thing--I have stuff, but there are always flaws I would rather address, but never have the time. Maybe I just need to get better at describing the flaws so an item can be listed as-is. My recent search for bar bottles is a perfect example of why this sort of thing is a great idea. Once one of us has modeled something like that, why should anyone else have to?
