Tony
I need your input on the lighting for the room as well as what you think of the light I designed above the table. There is still a lot of detail work to be done but I would appreciate input on what else to put in the room to flush it out. Thanks Tony
Jason Matthews
Hi Tony. The room looks great. There are a few areas that you should take a look at. Keep in mind that these are picky little things. What are you using for this image in terms of software, settings, etc. The carpet looks too unifiorm. I am of course assuming that it is carpet. It needs more bump or uneveness to it. The wood paneling might have a tad too much reflectiveness to it. Is that a window to the rear on the left? Is it glass? I like the lighting design. It has a nice industrial warm feel to it. A little surreal actually. Great image.

Ras
Hi Tony Good stuff. The lamp - good idea but the function is a little backwards IMO. Usually lighting above a conference table like that would be used to form some kind of "space" or atmosphere around the table. Although the curvature of the lamp is in some ways logical I think that it seperates the people at the table instead of uniting them. I´m not sure that it woulld be better to reverse the curvature but its just a feeling I get. Your image actually illustrates this quite well. Tony
Thanks RAS for the input, I'm not sure about the the light myself. The client wanted some type of dropped ceiling but the room has a cathedrial ceiling. The client is a furniture manufacturer not an architect:) Do you have a suggestion as to what type of light would work in this situation? Thanks!
