I also use VIZ with GI (finalRender)...I have not played too much with radiosity, but the most important part is your mesh...I'd use 5cm to 30cm for interios....check out "Help"...I found good information there and the tutorials as well....It's not too difficult, just practice!!! Good textures can make your image! Also, you might like to give Radiosity a try, since you're using Viz 4. I found it not really hard to work with and achieved very decent results with it.
