maxscript - create face from bitmap

Hi all..

 

I'm looking for / or help with a maxscript which would allow me to create faces from an imported bitmap. ideally the face would take on the pixel dimensions of the image and also the ratio of width and height.

 

any help in appreciated.

Hi Mark,

This is a script I created to make labels, logos and fill product shelves for store renderings. It makes a proportionally correct plane from a bitmap selection. The plane and the applied material are named the same as the bitmap.

 

unzip it then- Open it under MAXScript-Open Script. Select all the text and drag it onto a toolbar to create a button.

 

It is a bit crude, but I get lots of mileage out of it. I have a whole list of features to add as my script skills get better.
