mazearch
fernando or someone i am hoping for a little help... i am sure it will be an easy one. i am an old guy learning max as i go teaching a digital architecture class... been a form z vectorworks type of guy for years... so here it is: worked thorugh fernando's cloth tutorial on making a flag attached to a pole... using max 6. i think i am missing a step... make the pole, make the plane... adjust the number of segments... modify it to reactor cloth. make rb collection, make cloth collection... add pole and plane to collections respectively... use mesh select modifier on plane.. select vertex points to attach to rigid body... THEN when i run an animation in reactor, the flag just falls off the gosh darned pole. my TA (member of cg arch) cannot figure out what i did wrong... please help.. would like to show to class. Tiny Piney
Before adding the cloth modifier use edit mesh and select all the vertices that are movable leave the vertices open not close edit mesh, then add the cloth modifier. The cloth mod should only affect the selected vertices. The cloth mod should have the vertices icon on the right in the mod stack.
