Jaguar lover
Hi all! -any clues? Im getting a bit p****d over viz 4.. I have a scene of an atruim approx. 40 by 20 m. The problem is when rendering nothing but the environment colour shows up. scene is Radiosity calc. at 98% cameras are set with both clipping planes and no cl.pl. (none works) I can pick illuminance values from the scene(values are fairly correct) When rendering and checking task manager Viz uses 888Mb commit charge says 1005/3943. There is 2Gig of ram in the box (P4 at 3.2) When i made a test run att 65% radiosity everything went smooth.. Totally confused
CRD
Can you give us some more info? What are you exposure settings? What kind of lights are in the scene and what are their settings? What are the other radiosity settings? Do you have shadows turned on? Do you have any effects (like fog, volume light) active? Maybe post some screen shots illustrating the problem. William Alexander
Hi all! -any clues? Im getting a bit p****d over viz 4.. ......When i made a test run att 65% radiosity everything went smooth.. Totally confused Jaguar lover (is that the car or the animal?) More info, screen capture ect... would help. Are you using the exposure controls? What you are describing is, as indirect illumination is introduced, the scene washes out with light? If this sounds right check it out in the help files for exposure controls. Jaguar lover
Thanks guys.. Settings: Lights are various IES files from manufacturers, Adv. ray trace shadow on Exposure/Logarithmic Brightness 65/Contrast 50 Global Meshing 500mm Global iteration 20 Physical scale 1500(supposed this one should be 2400 /2400 lumen is highest value in scene) mid tones 1 no athmospere effects As I wrote when the calculation ended at 65% the images came out fine.. Today is came out fine at 90% explanation: I have set environment colour to dark blue. When the scene is rendered (from a cam inside the atrium) there are no geometry shown at all. Maybe some part of the scene has become overbright and this causes the program to "shortcut" itself. I dont know. For now the solution is end calculation before 98%... Jaguar as in Jaguar cars (kind of love-hate-relation)
