blaz
hi, when you outsource your work to a viz company from arch firm.. do you give your complete files (max+map) to your outsource? when there are a lot of non standart mapping. are they suppose to figure out, from the arch firm rendered image? please advice, how is the proper practice code... thanks
Iain Denby
Blaz I work as a freelancer, and all I get from the architects is a set of *.dwg files and maybe prints too, together with notes for materials to be used. That's it!
Jim Mann
Blaz, Having worked on both sides of the industry I would recommend that you give them absolutely everything you can - model, textures, drawings, samples, etc. Chances are they may do their own textures and amend the mapping, but the more information you can provide up front, the better the end result should be. The only exception to this would be if you have items from model and texture libraries within your scene. You should take out anything that you have bought from another source e.g. models of cars, texture maps of trees or people. Jim
